02/01/11 Today was spent saying more goodbyes to family as they return to their various homes. Liam and I traveled to Dublin with our oldest daughter and boyfriend and left them back to her apartment on Herbert Street. We met up with youngest daughter and brought her back to her apartment in UCD where she is heading into the final semester of her college education. The four years have flown since she started and she is the last of ours to finish college and start out on her chosen path in life. Where to for her in this debt ridden country where prospects of employment in her chosen career are practically none. Another of the exodus from this country I fear.
We returned home to a fabulous welcome from the newest member of our family. A beautiful tan and white Jack Russel terrier, a Christmas present to Liam from all our children. Toby is now fifteen weeks old and a troublesome teenager in dog terms. He is into chewing everything now and loves to fall asleep curled up on my lap. We just chilled then for the rest of the evening in front of the fire me on the laptop and Liam watching football on the box.
